Product Information
The Methane Gas Module uses Aeroqual’s Gas Sensitive Semiconductor (GSS) sensor technology inside a proprietary flow design that minimizes baseline drift, with sample air filtered through a scrubber to reduce cross-interferences. It’s designed for the AQS 1 and AQM 65 platforms and is aimed squarely at oilfield, landfill, and other fugitive-methane monitoring applications.

Product Benefits
- Performs like a long-path-length optical methane instrument in a compact, lower-power, lower-cost package.
- Low zero and span drift under real oilfield and landfill conditions.
- Field-calibratable with standard reference gases, fully traceable to NIST primary standards.
Performance & Field Data
- Co-located with a Picarro methane analyzer (November 2022): R² = 0.87, mean absolute error = 0.2 ppm — with the AQM 65 platform expected to exceed this.
- Recommended field calibration interval of 1–3 months.
Typical Applications
- Fugitive emissions and leak monitoring at oil & gas sites.
- Landfill methane monitoring for regulatory compliance and mitigation planning.
