Svantek SV 803
Specto configures the SV 803 with suitable mounting, battery or solar power, SvanNET dashboards, event alerts and project reporting. Add an SV 303 noise terminal for a compatible combined system.
Svantek SV 804
The SV 804 provides a compact configuration for mounting to walls, beams and other structures. Specto prepares the communications, power and SvanNET workflow, with an SV 303 noise option where required.
Instantel Micromate
Specto configures the Micromate with an external geophone, power, telemetry and the Instantel reporting workflow. Select a sound-level microphone or a linear air-overpressure microphone for the measurement required.

What vibration monitoring equipment can I rent?

How do I choose between the SV 803, SV 804 and Micromate?
The SV 803 supports connected ground and building vibration projects. The SV 804 is a compact direct-mount option for structures. The Micromate supports vibration, blasting and sound workflows with an external geophone and selected microphone. Specto helps match the platform to the required measurements and field setup.
Can I monitor noise and vibration with the same system?
An SV 303 noise terminal can be integrated with an SV 803 or SV 804 for combined sound and vibration monitoring. A Micromate can use a compatible sound-level microphone. These are different configurations; tell us the required sound and vibration measurements so we can specify the appropriate combination.
Is a sound-level microphone the same as a blast microphone?
No. Environmental sound-level measurement and blast air-overpressure measurement use different microphone configurations and reporting methods. For Micromate rentals, identify which measurement your project requires rather than treating the microphones as interchangeable.
Can I receive alerts and event reports remotely?
Yes, with the selected communications and software setup. The SV 803 and SV 804 use the SvanNET workflow. Micromate remote reporting uses configured telemetry and the selected Instantel or Specto-hosted workflow. Report timing and notifications are set for the project.
Can I monitor human response or sensitive equipment?
Selected Svantek configurations support metrics and analyses such as VDV, RMS, FFT, 1/3 octave and user-defined or VC criteria. Tell us the assessment method and required limits so Specto can match the instrument and analysis functions. These functions should not be assumed to apply identically to every rental model.
Does a field-ready system still need site installation?
Yes. Specto prepares and tests the rental before shipment, but the project team still needs to place, mount or couple the sensor correctly, confirm its orientation and verify the site setup. Share the mounting conditions and access constraints before the rental is prepared.
Can the system run on battery or solar power?
Battery and solar configurations are available for the project systems. Power requirements depend on the instrument, communications, accessories and operating schedule. Power over Ethernet is a specific SV 804 option rather than a universal feature of all three platforms.
How quickly can the system be quoted and mobilized?
Most standard rental requests are quoted the same business day when the project information is available. Next-day shipment or local courier delivery is available for most projects, depending on request time, inventory, configuration and destination.
Can I rent for less than a month or pause a rental?
Short- and long-term rentals are available. Monthly rentals cover a full calendar month, not a 28-day cycle. By agreement, rental charges can be paused for up to one month during significant downtime or between projects while you retain the equipment. Your quote sets out the rental duration and applicable terms.
What support is included during the rental?
Specto provides project check-ins and technical support from engineers and scientists with field experience, available 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Eastern Time. Our team coordinates replacement equipment, return logistics and project closeout support. Replacement equipment is shipped overnight free of charge across the United States; contact our team to arrange the shipment.
