As more and more dataloggers become cloud based, the process of downloading data directly from dataloggers is gradually being replaced by data retrieval from the cloud. This reduces the workload on dataloggers and eliminates the need for numerous static IP addresses.
Arest is a Windows program developed by Specto Technology that collects data from the WASP Network through their web portal using the REST API. Arest is used to schedule data retrieval from the WASP Network, then store data files in Campbell Scientific Table Format. When used in conjunction with program such as FTP Scheduler, the data flow from the WASP Network to a monitoring platform such as ARGUS may be conducted automatically, continuously and effortlessly.
